How does one change the shape and color of the gauge outside of Pretty Sleek Gauges? I'd use it, but that and some other plugins refuse to work in MV at all for some reason.

If there's any alternatives to changing your gauge, please inform.

Deepening on how much coding experience you have, changing the color of the gauges could be simple or advanced.

Changing the shape of the gauges is much more advanced.

First, you'd need to create new functions to draw new shapes.

Then you'd need to create a new function to draw the new gauges using the new shapes.

Finally, you would have to alias the original function that draws the gauges to draw your custom gauges instead.

I have little to no experience in coding for things like this, are there any "commands" that would be accurate for this? (i.e coding terms that would help point me in the right direction)

I think you'd be best off solving this problem. The plugins do not "refuse to work in MV," as they were written for MV and many other people use them with no problems. I'm using Pretty Gauges in my MV project with no issues at all.

So instead of asking about trying to learn coding terms, why don't you just ask for help getting the existing plugins to work?

Alright, [i'm not sure if this can be moved to that plugin's thread, but if so please do.] what can I do to help diagnose the problem?

Well...first, clearly explain the problem. Saying "these refuse to work" doesn't mean anything. Does the game start up and there are no changes at all? Does it crash with an error?

Then provide screenshots. If there's an error in the game, press F8, go to the Console tab, and provide a screenshot of the error trace.

If there's no error, provide a screenshot of what your in-game menu looks like with the gauges, and a screenshot of your plugin manager.

Proper localization into several languages on a commercial rpg project might be one of the best signs that the developer is super invested into making the game something high effort, because it ain't cheap to hire good translators.
6 hour drive back from Florida and I was able to plan out 6 mini game Common Events for my Game Jam entry, including a new one I hadn't thought of before. Also had some new ideas to improve what I already have and the post game options to continuing playing the mini games that you liked or didn't get to try. Pretty productive drive.
