Hi everyone,
Ive been trying to completely remake the weapon system and Im really not sure how to do the following:

1. How can I make the weapon hit with multiple elements? As in 50% fire, 50% physical for ex.
2. How can I extend the description bar? Id love to add way more flavor the the legendary weapons and really let the player see what the difference between an axe and a sword is.
3. Id love to add some new animations but I find the whole system somewhat confusing... any good guides out there?

Thats all I can think of right now, thanks in advance.

(I have also posted this on the steam forums so you might be seeing this for the 2nd time - sorry!)

Normally Ace only uses the most damaging element comparison if two or more are detected. So you will need a script.

You'll need a small script adjustment to the lines of the description windows in your menus, which might cause you to also move every other window down a notch.

Not sure about guides, but if you fool around with it, learning will come naturally. Take a look at the default ones at first. Each animation frame (left of the animation window) allows you to do 2 things: drag animation cells from the used resource image (below animation window), or set sounds/screen effects for that frame (above animation window). Then on the right is all the cell-editing effects, such as zoom (size change), angle, opacity, and other good stuff.

Step 1: Choose animation sheet / resource (2 at most) and max number of frames

Step 2: Choose first frame and click-drag animation cells onto the window (from below)

Step 3: Set any sound/screen effects for that frame (from above)

Step 4: Set any special cell effects (from the right)

Repeat from step 2 but choose the next frame.  It's like making a flip-book. Then use that Test button to play it out.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
