What's GBB?

I was talking about myself there, so thanks for comparing me to an infant monkey. Really appreciate that.
Sorry. Had no intent on doing so. Got a little carried away.

gain more respect

I will not be bound by professionalism rules. I am doing what i want to do, and I am what I am, not what people want me to be. And i am not doing this for money, I do this for the fun of it. Because i like making this kind of stuff. Where's professionalism in that? Lemme remind you: call of duty exists in it's stagnant state because of the "professionals" who think only on making a big buck, not of making something they want. I like your language and I want to use it fully. It's not like all of my characters are cussing right and left. Plus, you really shouldn't be surprised by stuff like curse words concidering many modern games.

Again, sorry, i really not attacking someone if i son't want to, just getting a bit overprotective. I'm at fault here, i admit. Sorry if i maded you feel bad.

Hey there, Personigo!

I decided to give GESPENST a whirl, and while I enjoyed certain aspects of the demo, I did bump into a few things which didn't sit well with me.

I liked the characters, for the most part, but their interactions with one another never felt very natural to me. Unit 27 claims he's one of the common people, an average Joe, but his flowery dialogue never made me believe this. He came across as more of an upper class philosopher, than as one of the rabble uplifted to a position of importance. I did enjoy his constant bickering with Unit 8, but it seemed very forced and drawn out at the start of the game. They've only just arrived on the scene and Unit 8 attempts to kill him. I did like Unit 17, though. The silent killer has always been a favourite personality of mine.

The music was pretty good, and the maps were quite nice to look at; though I do feel that the sewer\temple area is a bit barren. If it's a temple, where are all of the ritualistic trappings one would associate with a place of worship and communion with deities\spirits? It's not poorly mapped, it's just empty.

The battles were very good. They were very well balanced and fast paced. Though, I never really had to use any status effects on the normal difficulty. I simply used the first damaging skill in each characters skill list to get through the battles, which worked fine. The special abilities\limit breaks were good, too. I used them on the bosses which made them quite short - the security system boss was more of a threat than Fafnir. The lack of reward from battles made me avoid some of them. I fought enemies if they got in my way, otherwise I just left them alone. The only aggressive enemies were those Morgensterns; they were so eager to fight me that they would be trying tp pass through gates in order to reach me.

The art is very good. The character sprites, faces, busts, animated battlers, and all of the animations were excellent. I liked the unique designs for the characters. I liked how Unit 8 wasn't a teenager or heavily sexualised; which is a trend I hope to see continue in a lot of games. I liked the design of Unit 27. I loved Unit 17's goggles and mighty beard. :D

I'm still not too sure about the story. It's almost nonexistent in the demo, apart from the bit about the Dark King, an ancient kingdom, and him turning into a monster. If the demo was longer I'm sure the story would've had time to blossom. There was very little world building beyond a few lines of dialogue. The world seems interesting, I just wasn't allowed to experience any of it in the demo.

I need to ask this: what has the Friedrich Nietzsche quote got to do with the game?

Overall, I enjoyed the game. Though, it would be even better if it was longer and you gave enough time for the story to take root and hook the player. I hope you keep working on it.

Thanks for the feedback :D

Unit 27 has indeed grown up with simple people, but he was a wunderkind, a genius, thus he grow to appreciate more sophisticated speech patterns

The sewer/temple was build not to worship but to contain. I'll explain the themes in the game itself. Also, the demo did not contained much of a story since it was just a demo.

I am glad that you liked mah battles :D They seem pretty hard for some people, so i am thinking of including easy mode as well. Actually, to me the battles in rpgs are very important, and it pains me that many rpg maker games don't focus nearly as much attention on making these as they deserve

Well, again, thanks for the feedback :D

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...
