Hey there, I'm working with custom fixed images for parallax background for my maps.

I'm wondering if there's a way to make the character(s) be smaller or bigger on the screen depending on the perspective of the X axis. So that when they are far away they are slightly smaller than on the front, otherwise the perspective looks a bit ****ed.

The only thing that comes to mind is dividing the maps in regions depending on the axis height and maybe launch and a change player sprite event each time the player walks over?

there are plugins (or at least were for MV, don't know if they are compatible to MZ or someone made MZ ones) that create a pseudo-3D-view based on the maps.
the most commonly used are called "mode 7" plugins, but I think that the full mode 7 is more than what you want.

still you might find something usable if you search for that term in the plugins.

This is a really good video
Testing Parry/Counter system straight from Action Sequence instead of utilizing the default counter.
Quite happy with the result so far.

This just blew my mind.
RMMZ can choose Tilesize.
No complicated Plugin needed, it is a simple inbuild Option.
This means you could literally use all your rm2k3 or vx-ace Tilesets and Characktersets in RMMZ.
This also makes me curious about experimenting with smaler Tiles and higher Screen Resolutions for non RPG Games.
