When I add a new player to my party, is there an event command that I have to use to get the actor graphic to follow around behind the player?

Here is my event where I add the new actor to the party, and I do have "show followers" checked in system. Not sure what I have to do to get the new actor graphic to follow the main player around.

Do you have any Plugins that COULD change the behaviour of followers? I know that QMovement for example needs an addon. The eventing looks correct for me.

The first 3 or 4 followers follow the main character automatically as they are add in the party.
You don't have to do nothing for this.
Unless you are using a plugin that change this behaviour, this is default by Rm mv.

I am not using any plug-ins at all. This is my first game. The second party member appears in the menu screen when I open the menu, but they don't follow behind the player.

It's weird - I changed the event to add the third actor as well as the second actor. -
the third actor shows up fine following behind me. There is a gap where the second actor (in this case, named Amelia), would be. I do have a character image set for the Amelia character in the database

It's really strange!
Did you try to double click the character in the database, to see if the file is there?
Because sometimes I have trouble when I change files, and the editor not recognizes it.

Well, I resaved the game, restarted the computer, and replayed a new playtest from start and now it works. Not sure what the problem was but oh well .

Maybe there were still "empty" characters in your Party. Im glad it works now.

Sounds like you've got one or two things wrong here.

Your starting party is defined in the System tab, not the Actors tab. If you don't change the system tab and you just delete actors from the Actors tab to get rid of anyone you don't want in your party at the start of the game, you still have them all in your party - they just don't have sprites. So you'll have your actor and three "blank" followers. When you add a new party member, they will be #5 and will not show up on the map. In the menu, you'll have your leader, then 3 blank spaces, then your new party member. If you don't want 4 actors in your party at the start of the game, you delete the unwanted ones from the System tab, not the Actors tab.

The other thing is that when you change actors who are in your party, or change the starting party on the System tab, you have to start a new game for those changes to be picked up. Your starting party is obviously only relevant at the start of a game, so if you make changes to that, then load a saved game, it's not going to have any effect. And actors who have joined your party have all their data saved when you save a game, so if you save, make changes to actors, then resume your saved game, your party members will be loaded from the save file, not from the database. The only time they're loaded from the database is when you add them to the party the first time, or when you add them with the Initialize box checked.

This is clearly what happened. Thank you for this.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
