To me, this is awesome and should totally be a future sport.

America challenges Japan to a giant robot duel: http://www.cnet.com/news/america-challenges-japan-to-real-life-battle-of-giant-robots/

Japan accepts:  http://qz.com/445535/japan-has-accepted-the-uss-giant-robot-fighting-challenge/

It's like the 1989 movie I loved so much as a kid, Robot Jox.

I agree with what the Japanese said in their response video that the Americans need to make their robot look cooler and not just make this big thing and strap guns to it. Hopefully the end design will look cooler, but I have a feeling that the American robot will be 'tougher', and almost certainly heavier which will give it an advantage in melee (which is what the Japanese want, melee combat), but the Japanese one looks far more sleek and perhaps agile. Very interesting times indeed.

Is it just me or does the American one look like it can easily fall over due to so much stuff at the top and so little at the bottom? Its centre of mass must be way too high up in the body, making the whole thing very unstable.

The American machine looks like something from the MechWarrior series of games.

When its legs are fully extended, yeah the American one looks rather top heavy considering how small its treads are. But it can fold its legs which drastically lowers the  center of gravity. It outweighs the Japanese version by about 3000 lbs which might make it difficult for the Japanese one to knock over the American one.

The Japanese Mecha seems to be a bit more advance than the American one, America probably does not even stand a chance...

First of all, yes, yes, yes! I love this kind of stuff. I used to watch those smaller bots crush each other into pieces when I was little, I don't remember the name of that show though... Robot Wars? Or something like that. I just love robots.

Secondly, I really wouldn't worry about the bot's capability to stand or something like that... I mean these people are engineers - do you really think that someone who designs robots for a living is incapable of not making it fall down or determine the centre of mass of a unit? ;) I can't really say which one is stronger or better either, as it depends mainly on the alloys used, engine power, all that stuff - a 90s car can have a Lamborghini engine inside of it and you wouldn't tell a difference until it speeds up, would you? :)

Anyway, looking forward to it.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
