Hi everyone I was not sure the correct place but had questions as it related to the image editing software gimp. I am somewhat competant in gimp and have used it to edit spritesheets in the past but needed help with something which may involve layering etc and was wondering if anybody could help me.
I have an sv battler and want to make an after image type look for them and I know that I can accomplish this through gimp. so my 1st question is does anybody know how I can use gimp to while I have my spritesheet pulled up to make the actor look more opaque aka afterimagey kinda like they are fading? I know in rpg maker mv when making an animation there is an option to do that However I would need to do this in gimp.
My second question is since I will be editing the spritesheet once I have come up with the afterimage of my battler it will be positioned slightly to the right of the actor on the spritesheet but i need the priority to go to the non opaque looking sprite so I was wondering if I could somehow layer the edited opaque image to have less priority so it doenst overlap the non opaque image but falls behind it.
To graphics editing people I just know you will understand what I am trying to say or at least I hope so lol. Please if anybody can help.
If this is in the wrong place I apologize in advance because I was not sure where I should post this.
