Gingerbread Man Sprite and Faces

I want to make a game where you play as a gingerbread man and I've done some digging around but I haven't been able to find any gingerbread man sprites or face images. There was a wonderful thread put together by @slimmmeiske2 here that had a number of useful resources but no gingerbread men as far as I can tell.

I thought for sure somebody would have made some at some point so if there are existing resources that someone could point me to that would be awesome. If not, I'd love it if someone could help me out with their artistic skills.

What I'm looking for...

Resource type: gingerbread face images (with at least a few expressions, standard, smiling, fearful) and walking sprite image. I probably won't be using combat for this project so I wouldn't need a battler.

Maker format: MZ/MV

Art Style: similar to what's seen in the Wonderland Forest and Woodland Animals tilesets

Description: just a run of the mill gingerbread man, don't need anything too fancy, just some basic candy and frosting details on him

Reference image: something similar to the one on the top right here

If anybody can help I'd really appreciate it. Artwork is so not my thing.

well i tried a bit.. and used this One as refference


thats how far i got by now :


.. if you say the last img is good enough, i can finish it for all char parts, but i dont think i can do it much better..

( also for faces or Bust usage i would advice to try to find some free Images on google instead )

another update

the half of the frames are done.. Now you can already see how the others will look

i also added a neckerchief, because i think it was a bit empty looking on the last Line ..
(direction facing up)

i will also try to clean up some little details when everything is done , but however this is my first try to make a custom Char img ^^

(if you have any ideas what you want to have changed , now would be the right moment^)

Important pls Note:
the Image needs the " $ " at the start of the IMGname in order to work correctly

Terms:
"$Gingerbread.png" is free to use, edits are allowed & credits are not required but always welcome .

I added all availleble updated Images to this Posting, as main Storage

=> about faces IMG :
this face can be mirrored to get the eyes looking to the other side

I stopped by your Deviant page but I will also definitely send you some screenshots and a link to the game when they're ready I'm going to use it for something I'm making for the one map challenge.

Edit: @Dopan. Here's a screenshot of him in action in the little starting area I've made.

I recognized that there were 2 little mistakes on the Char Img

- Head moves to much on 1 frame when looking left
- Neckerchief was different on another frame when looking left
( i didnt added eye pupils, because with white eyes its easier to edit any eye pupils wanted, if wanted ..)

well, while i was trying to make an Item bag with effects for mapSprite Usage, i thought this would fit very well to the Gingerbread..
(this one is with eye pupils ,..)

I attached another Version:

(editor extra)
- ItembagEffectEditor
=> same terms as above (free2use)
I zoomed in a bit for the Video, to show it better.., and the screenshot is normal Size:

Somehow its really fun to edit on this^^
also i thought since i couldnt make Face Images , i tried some different eyes positioning..
Perhaps that can be used for faces, but its just an Example, i think they are way more possibletys^^
(zooming in and making images could also replace regular face Images..)

(editing the Gingerbread with the white eyes, also the mouth could be changed)

-> hopefully this will make your 1 map challenge project more unique ^

i think thats the last update so far, it should help to use other Expressions..

in this case Sad or Angry , (by Default the Gingerbread is happy)


I attached the Default Images Sad & angry..

and also some default editor extras IMGs to make own edits if wanted..
(also one Gingerbread which has mouth mirrored & white eyes, for Editor usage)

" $GB_angry_Default.png " .. had a mistake on the eyes, i edited that and deleted&replaced the Img .
(also i changed a little thing on the angry face)
