Hey all, so straight to the point.
When I edit an event, adding commands and such, sometimes a new eventing window will pop up automatically, then a show text command will come up (the one you type dialouge into).
After closing both of those windows, I should be returned to the original event that was open. Instead, I return to the event, but the whole page is erased (it fixes itself if you cancel and do not save changes).
Here is a quick download of the video that shows the problem =[

Has this happened to anyone? Any idea whats going on here?

If you can replicate it, perhaps at least post some screenshots?

Have you tried reinstalling the editor?

Nothing should open another event window automatically, the entire editor is intended to be reactive to input only.

If new Windows open for no reason, that would make me suspect a damaged program which needs reinstall.

(the only other reason would be some other background programm adding input into the windows command queue without you realising that, perhaps a keyboard driver out of control?)

I just posted a video of the issue.

Show Text is the first / default command when you go into a new event window.  You don't have some kind of controller attached to your computer, do you, that might be forcing some keypresses?

I think the issue was my mouse - after changing it out, the issue stopped.
I didn't get that much time to work with the program after that though, so I might have just got lucky.
If it is the mouse going on the fritz, why would it mass delete the event page?

@GoodSelf Dude, When you pressed the X button to close out, your click was registered by the tab Clear Event Page. Watch the vid, and you'll see the color isn't just the hover over color, it was clicked! My advice, move the window before you exit out. That way, you can know for certain.

yes, I rechecked - consocwby is most probably correct. Somehow your mousedriver made the click into a doubleclick or had a problem registering which windows to send it to, and that gave the same click command to the window below the event window directly after the closing or at the same time. Which unfortunately happened to be the clear page button at those coordinates...

And that is why it stopped after changing the mouse (which changed both the driver and the buttons in case it was a malfunctioning click button).
