heres something i cant seem to figure out. ive read some tutorials but can someone break it down into simple terms for me? i want to make a bridge in which my character can walk on and under. i also have event spawned hostile units that i also wish to be able to walk under the bridge. ive done something like this with events but then my hostile units(events) cant cross under the bridge because events can go over eachother.

any help is appreciated. thanks!

First you're going to need to make a bridge event. The first page should show the bridge and set it to Above Character. Now make a second page, make a variable to activate it, and make it Below Character. Now make two events right next each other like this:

The top event should be Set Variable to 1 when the player steps on it and the bottom event will set it to 0 when the player steps on it. And there goes your bridge.

Nope. When the variable is off the bridge will act like it would if you set it up like in the tileset.

Neon Black also has a Terrain Tags script that would let you do this without events.

You weren't asking about scripts ;)

If you want to know how to use it, just head to the thread for it, look at the examples (isn't there a demo for this one?) and read all the comments. Then if you're still stuck, post a question in that thread. Neon Black is around, so will be able to answer it for you, if other's can't (which is also unlikely).

I am definitely interested in trying a bridge this way......  I have a great place in mind

UPDATE: works great.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
