I'm actually surprised the latest incarnation of RM still doesn't have this natively (or at least I haven't found it).
Is it possible to have a fork condition test if the current amount of gold is superior (or inferior, whatever) to the amount of a variable?

I'd assume the primary intent of this was just to provide a shortcut for a common usecase. For everything more elaborate you can always store the amount of gold in a variable first and work with that.

Though, if you prefer script commands this should work too:
$gameParty.gold() > $gameVariables.value( ID )
to check whether the gold value is above a variables value.

The ability to substitute a variable value with other game stats in events would have been a nice gimmick though.

absolutely no need for a script command, you just have to use a second variable and control variable command.

1) control variable var 1 = gold
2) conditional branch var1 > var2

Oh yes I was being stupid, thanks. Although it'd still be faster to just have the native function > Var ID

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
