good for pet games?

So I picked 2003 up cheap for on the Steam Summer sale and wanted to know, is this good for making pet games? or would a different RPG maker work best, or not RPG maker at all? Also Since I do want to look into other kinds of games too, is 2003 the best for beginners?

I just picked up this maker, too, actually. It seems pretty straight forward compared to the others, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get into. However, I do notice some differences that are with wording or just overall strength of the newer to older engines. It isn't a bad place, in my opinion, for beginners. As for pet games, what do you mean exactly? Something like Pokemon where you capture/befriend and battle with them?

Nah I mean something like a pet app where I can dress and feed my pet to keep them happy, sorry does that make sense? i'm pretty bad at wording stuff!

No, it is fine. I understand. Unfortunately, I cannot help, either. I'm not sure about how to go about that or where to begin with eventing for something of that sort. While I could probably figure out the feeding part, I'm unsure about the dressing part. Whether you can do it or not, I'm no pro user of the 2000 / 2003 engine.
