Hello, my name is Lothloran.
My "day job" is managing and operating a growing political interest group in some part of the world. (I know politics aren't allowed on the boards, but that is what I do lol, and that's all I'll be saying on that subject)
I'm a history and philosophy buff, my favorite topics are the 1st and 2nd Punic wars, The Gaulic rebellions, the Nepoleonic war, 1933-1939 Europe (Not just Germany was interesting during that period of time). I'm very interested in contemporary philosophers, but my favorite ancients are Epictetus and Diogenses. My favorite schools are aesthetics, onology, and counter-enlightenment idealism.
I don't watch television, (ever) so I'm pop-cuturally ******ed, but I do read a lot, Dragonlance >> Forgotten Realms, LOTR >> Harry Potter. (Or whatever the cool kids are reading these days)
My favorite books are:
Fiction: Lamb: The gospel according to Biff, Christ's childhood pal, War and Peace, Brave New World (Because Orwell was too much of an idealist) and The Soulforged.
Non-Fiction: The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire I-VII, The Musaeum Hermeticum, Being and Time, and The Critique of Pure Reason.
I'm a deeply closeted nerd and otaku. My favorite series aren't Detective Conan, Princess Jellyfish, Appleseed, Pretty Rythm, Divergence Eve, or any of that silly Japanese stuff at all. (I'm *deeply* closeted)
