What's up, everyone? I'm new here. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Frogboy ... actually Stephen but Frogboy is the closest I've ever had to nickname so I use it as my Internet handle. I've been a long-time fan of both pen n' paper and CRPGs. I've dreamed of and designed both but never actually completed anything worth noting, starting and prematurely ending my creations in both the web space as well as QBasic, C++, VB6, Python/Pygame, Game Maker Studio and probably a bunch of other languages that I'm not even thinking about. I'm hoping that RPG Maker MV can get me over the hump.
Anyway, I've been really enjoying it so far and gotten farther in RPG Maker in a month than I have in any of my other previous attempts. It's really an excellent tool. I'm quite proficient in JavaScript which helps a lot and was probably the biggest selling point for me to go all in (Golden Week certainly didn't hurt either).
So yeah, um, HI! Not sure what else I should say. I hope that I can be a positive contributor to the RPG Maker community. If there's anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask. I hope I can put out a super cool game for you all, or at least anyone interested, to play sometime in the next 4-12 months. So far, I've just been learning how to use the product and digging into the scripts to tweak a few game play mechanics just enough to make my game unique and interesting. Probably won't be sharing anything on my first game very soon as that seems like it might not be the best idea in the world.
Hope I enjoy hanging out here. So far it's been great! If you have any sage-like advice for me, feel free to share.
