I have a rather strange issue that I have not heard anyone else discuss even after searching for quite a while about it.

Whenever I am mapping, using the grass, (whether it's the default tilesets or not) and putting other objects on top of the grass tiles, I get this strange white outline on the combined tile. It must have something to do with the transparency but it only occurs PART of the time. It's rather odd. Here is an example.

As I said, I have yet to see anyone else have this particular problem.

Any help/tips would be appreciated.

Are those the actual RTP files or did you import them?  It looks to me like the partial transparency on the bushes isn't correct.

That is in fact an edited tileset, but like I said above, the same thing happens with the default ones. I think it has something to do with the fact that it's two upper layers being overlayed and they both have their own transparency fading edges.

Nobody has ever reported it with the default ones. Have you perhaps made changes to the graphics files where the RTP resources are stored?

I would uninstall the RTP and reinstall it, and see if the issue with the default tilesets is fixed. If it isn't, post an image showing this, using just the RTP tilesets.

The issue with imported tilesets means whoever edited them did not make the entire background transparent.

It is not happening for me. Does it also look like this in the editor? Can you give a screenshot of that? Can you also go into your Resource Manager, choose the Tilesets folder, and make a screenshot of that?

Try starting a completely new project, without importing any scripts or other resources, and draw the same map, and see if the same thing happens.

What scripts are you using, other than the default?

I figured out what it was actually. It's the MGC Tilemap Ace script. I need it in order to use map zoom, so I guess I'll just have to play around with it and see why it's doing that. No wonder why no one else has had this problem.

I'll post the images I took anyway though.

Thank you for your help though, you helped me narrow it down and realize what was doing it.

Okay. I thought it might have been a script, if you hadn't played around with the RTP graphics.

If you can't figure it out on your own, post a new thread in the RGSSx Script Support forum, and include a link to the script you're using.
