I have RPG Maker VX Ace, and made a 40x40 pixel sprite in Graphics Gale, then imported it in the resource manager, I then added it to the Interior set. It showed up as about a quarter block, the rest was blank. I tried making it a set of its own, thinking the issue was simply that the other tiles were too big, but still, a no go. The only thing I can think of is that each tile included in RPG Maker VX Ace changed depending on where it's placed, meaning you don't add it sprite by sprite, you have to make an entire graphics sheet.

Tiles are actually 32x32. Maybe that's why it's showing up so weird?

Edit: Yup yup, what those people below me say is correct.

It looks like you're trying to make the wall part in A4? Those tiles need to be 64x64 in order to work properly--those are autotiles, not regular tiles like in B-E. And yes, autotiles require a bit more work than just drawing a tile and dropping it in. Here's a blog entry that explains more.

then added it to the Interior set.
The main problem was described by the poster above (autotiles), but you also mixed up different terms - and that was one cause of your problems.
sprites are NOT the same as tiles in RM.

Sprites can be any size, but tiles cannot - tiles have fixed formats and sizes (actually six different formats of tilesheets).

So while it is possible to make sprites in any size and use them in events, the tiles used in mapping have to be either 32x32 or (in the case of autotiles) special multiplies of 32x32 depending on the type of autotile.

Yep, I checked. It was in A4. I put it i A5 and it's working okay.

That wasn't the problem, but it is one now. The sprite was cut down to 32x32, and the edges were put as different blocks.

Now one follow up question, can I make tiles one at a time and save them as one image each, or do I have to make a full sheet of them?

The tilesets can only use sheets, and only a limited number of them.
A sheet does not need to be full (in fact, there are a lot of incomplete tilesheets out there), but the empty parts of the tilesheets will simply be missing, and you can't add more than 5 A-Tiles (each a different format) and four tilesheets for B to E.

So if you make tilesheets containing only single tiles, then an entire tileset of those sheets will have only nine different tiles. For more tiles in the same tileset, <ou have to combine tiles into sheets.

Yep, I figured that out. Makes it a bit more technical, but I'm working on it now.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
