Maybe a bit late and out of order, since i already started posting around on the MV support threads (the "must help" urges couldnt be resisted!) but anyways, glad to meet you all! (´・ω・`)/
I met RPG maker back when XP came out and i barely made a Golden Sun clone, just to test it, was a nice experience. So i decided to get MV 2 or so months ago since i've got better at worldmaking and art itself, im a freelance manga artist (traditional media, pen&paper, ink and all that, barely starting digital art after 8 years...) and somewhat experienced on pixel art, those as hobbies. Irl IT is my ground, gotta learn javascript someday and hope RPGMV motivates me to finally get into it...
Been too much into testing what can be done with this engine and the available plugins, and after a while finally decided to step out of the shadows to try and be a member of this community (´=ω=`)
Hope i can make enough custom assets to be worth sharing someday, right now i just make them on a whim when i need to execute an idea.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
