Hello folks, I'm Reynard Frost.

I was over at the RPGMakerVXAce.net forums and have now hopped on over here at the official RPG Maker forums! Glad to be here.

I have a history working in Games Development as a Quality Assurance Analyst as both Internal (Dev Studio) and External (Production) QA. Dabbling in RPG Maker in between projects and loving the old school feel of 2D RPGs.

I started RPG Maker back in the RM95 days, and used to be at GamingW for a time until I got tired of making projects I couldn't really do much with (due to the whole Don Miguel Translation stuff). Came back when RMXP was released and enjoyed it, then VX. Haven't finished anything in my time with the makers, but I plan on changing that up with Ace! (Got a Design Document and everything setup to keep me focused and get this done.)

Hope to be a helpful and productive member of the community!

Hey Reynard! QA is a huge part of game development, wildly under appreciated, I am sure you will be able to take into account a lot of your work experience here.

Happy that you feel that way, it's good that people appreciate the mindless hours of playing the same level for a month straight to make it the best quality before it's time to ship. I'll do my best to share my knowledge and help those who want to make the best games they can.

Hello there! A fellow QA tester -- I feel your pain, trust me. But it's all worth it to see a game come together from its scraps and form a coherent whole. =]

Good luck WizzyT, I hope you enjoy working really, really, really long hours. (On Uncharted 3 I had to work an entire month, 12 hour days, with no days off just to get it ready and out the door. Mad bank was made though.)

Dedication to Video Games and a love for the industry really helps it out. Plus, you're making a video game! Stay strong, comrade!

I feel somewhat lucky, my projects have been somewhat tame. I do QA for Electronic Arts, and I've worked on Sims 3 Pets 3DS and the sixth Sims 3 expansion pack, Showtime. Not quite the AAA bounty that is Uncharted, but Sims has its own QA challenges.

Oh I'd imagine, Sims has lots of things to test. So many variables and assets. ._.

Hi Reynard, it's nice to meet you.

I've done quite a lot of testing over the last few years too. A LOT of games for Reflexive, before they were bought out by Amazon, but I still do some work for them. Playing the same levels of the same games over and over and over for months on end can sure drive you crazy. It's so nice to have a lot of different things to work on, so you're not doing just one thing the whole time.

You still work for Reflexive? It hasn't been quite the same since Amazon bought them, has it? :/

I know the feeling... so true...

No :( I'm very sad that they're owned by Amazon now ... they've gone the way of all good companies. However, I still keep in touch with some of them, and yes, I do still work for them, though they're not called Reflexive anymore. One of these days, I'm going to take a trip to the US, and they're all definites on my "must meet" list :)

I used to love Reflexive, although you could see during the last few months thay they were going haywire... but a great portal originally.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
