Greetings, salutations, and awkward mumblings

Hello everyone, my name is Erika, and I'm terrified! Okay, perhaps not terrified, but certainly nervous beyond belief. I've been into game design for a long time, and have been using RPG Maker since I was 9, back on RM2k3. I'm extremely unused to being social, online or otherwise, and don't really hold friends well... so joining a forum is pretty new for me. I've done so in the past, and it never lasted long, but I'm determined to keep up with this one.


Anyways, my specialties tend to lie in mechanics design and 3D modelling. The latter doesn't apply to RPG Maker much, but I'm sure I'll find a way to make it work! I especially enjoy making classes and systems that are unique and engaging, including in genres other than RPGs. I also run a blog! By which I mean I occasionally post when sleep-deprived and the rare writing urge hits me.


So... yeah! That's me. I like to make and play games of all sorts, on all platforms. I tend to flip-flop between shy and polite to passionately energetic. And I really really like pasta.

I've made a couple friends - making friends wasn't my number one priority when I started here - but everyone is friendly and if they aren't, well there are moderators . Sounds like you've been at this quite a long time and I'm sure your expertise will help out a lot of other people on here who are looking for it. Anyways, welcome to the forum and keep on eating that pasta!   Yuum! I love all sorts of pasta too, do you have a favourite type of pasta or a favourite dish?

Thank you for the kind greetings, and I'm not just here to make friends. I'm here to rule the worl- I mean, here to make games! And I have a particular love for mushroom ravioli alfredo, as far as pasta goes. Any one of those three things in pasta are great, but all together is just divine.

I too love pasta, although I'm a red sauce fiend and love meat sauce or italian sausage in it ^_^.

Actually, I was curious about sharing my game... Is it too early for me to be sharing files and demos? I know where to post that sort of thing on these forums, but I feel like I'm too new here to delve into things like that. Should I trust my gut on this, or is there a best practice for posting this sort of thing?

There is a place you can post those, but exactly where depends on how far along you are. Go here, but be sure to read the sub-forum-specific rules in each section before deciding where it goes.

Hmm... After looking around for a bit, I can't seem to find a subsection of the forums for event systems. Is there anything in place for that, or is it a particular thread? I just made a skit system for MV that I want to share.
