Hello.

I go by the alias Wild Knight, because why not?

I've been creative all my life, and I feel like time's a-wasting! I already have more than a couple of unfinished projects in the VX Ace, and recently downloaded the free trial of MV. While I'm having fun with it, I'm already way too deep in my older projects to make the transition, especially pertaining to the tailored character designs for some of my characters.

After working alone (with the occasional aid of my sister) for so long, I hope to join this community.

:yhappy:

Hello, Wild Knight! :)

I know that feeling... I started using RPG Maker XP in 2006 and because I was so used to it, I totally refused to move on to VX, VXA or MV. However, my new project requires stuff that XP can't really handle, so... well, MV it is. Haha, cya! o/

Welcome, @Wild Knight! The unfinished projects tend to pile up, huh? No worries, VX Ace is still a great engine to work in. But if you really wanted to use MV (for whatever reason) and don't have any scripts in VX Ace, you can actually reformat it to work in MV.

Hope you have fun here!

Thank you all for welcoming me!

There's still so much that I'm figuring out, but I have those projects narrowed down to two of five, one being a demo that I'm still not satisfied with the ending to.

Hopefully, I can think of a better ending to that one.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
