Salutations RM community!
I am Narcissus, a not-so-new RM user ( I believe I have been using it for about 5 or so years, albeit not very diligently,) and figured I may as well stop lurking around and start participating!
When I first found RPG Maker, I was amazed and super excited about all the possibilities, and that I could actually make a game of my own if I put forth a reasonable amount of effort. Granted, I have yet to actually publicly release any of my works, largely because I feel none of them have been up to par. I do feel it is for the best though, as even without releasing any of my works, I have still been able to learn new things from experimentation, practice, and learning new concepts as I become more familiar with more games through experience, RM ones and otherwise.
As far as my skills go, I have been told I am good at writing, and that I can do decent mapping and graphic editing (nothing too impressive though). I know almost diddly about music and making art (be it pixel or computer/hand drawn) from scratch or with a base.I do hope I can improve my own skills and provide some enjoyable games for you all.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
