I'm a writer by trade (creative, business, academic), and have had discussions for several years with a developer/publisher friend of mine over bringing me into the fold on some type of new game series. Figured out recently that an RPG is the best way to go, and so here I am.

The thought of programming terrifies me, so I'm happy software like RPG Maker exists. I'm using MV due to side battler system built in. I've done some tinkering on a project with VX Ace, and found it surprisingly intuitive. I'll probably have lots of questions re: MV, though.

Anyway, happy to be here! And who knows? Perhaps there's an opportunity for collaboration with teams looking for a writer.

Hi and welcome aboard! Yes, RPG is a great software and I'm sure you'll get familiar with everything quickly. My advice, the one I always give, is to watch as much tutorials as you can, because you learn something new every time ^^

Yes, I'm sure there are devs interesting in your skills so stay alert! ^^
Have fun and stay awesome!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
