RandomAmun here, I'm fairly new to the RPG Maker forums, typically speaking I like to lurk but never post. Maybe that will change? I've been using MV since early 2017, watched SRD's tutorials, and made a couple (very short, very bad) games for friends. I picked up game making as a therapeutic outlet after some... job-related issues... forced me to direct my creativity elsewhere. And I must say, I've learned quite a bit since embarking on this wonder-filled journey. Time management, game development, game structure, player vs. dev mentality, figuring out how to use new software, what makes a good game, how different people have fun, how to cut-scene Godzilla destroying Tokyo--all of these things have helped me improve my creative process and enriched my life.

If you need an extra pair of eyes to look over your work, I'm happy to do so.

Things I'm good at: proofreading, writing, analysis/critiques, being random
Likes: cats, puzzles, reading, international foods, terrible jokes, toleration, analysis, experimentation, crystals, tarot cards, and some really really weird stuff
Dislikes: pushy people, zealots, public speaking, cream cheese--for it is the bane of all existence!

Welcome aboard! ^^ Hope your job related issues get fixed soon.
Then, you like cats and terrible jokes? I think we'll be friends, since I also like cats and I say terrible jokes xD

If you have been lurking you know this is a pretty good community, friendly and helpful. Glad you joined us and hopefully you'll have fun!

Well, I for one like it better than asparagus, cottage cheese, and Electronic Arts games... those games taste awful, btw! :)[/QUOTE]
EA games taste awful, but they make indie game makers like us look good!
... and cottage cheese only gets a pass because I made some tasty gulab jamun with it; haven't been able to make anything tasty out of cream cheese.

Thanks for all the welcomes!

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
