RPG Maker Forums

Hello, all. I didn't even know this topic was down here. I've been going around posting stuff like somebody knew who I was or something. There's a lot of categories on this forum. I don't think I've ever made it down this far. If I make it past 'Support' I generally get stuck in the 'Project' section. But mostly I've been lurking in a lot of threads in the support section for a long time because when I ask the Google something that's where it always sends me. Maybe this topic should be at the top. Just sayin'.

As for who I am, I'm just an old DM from way back. Like back when late night TV preachers used to say that people who play Dungeons & Dragons worship the Deh-ville. Total fake news. Although Lucifer was in the Monster Manual. And maybe some chaotic evil types were fond of him. But nobody actually had him as their deity. That I know of. But I always loved creating adventures and campaigns and RPG Maker is a fun way to do that. So that's what I do now.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
