So i have a quick question for you guys,  i have been reading alot on scripts lately and i was thinking of utilizing victor's pixel based movement script as my first real go at scrippting.  My question is, would pixel based movement allow me to make half of a tile moveable.  For instance if i blocked half of a door way with an object could i walk in through the other half?

If this is not a clear question please let me know, i just am hoping to find out before i go an change something with a map i made, or leave it and waste time.

depends on the script - some pixel movement scripts still use the editor passability to keep making the game simpler, but there are other scripts that use different methods to implement passability.

However, you should note that to get a non-grid-passability, you need much more work not only in scripting, but also in mapping (you need an alternative to the editor to create the passability data, that is a lot of additional work depending on how it's done)

That really depends how you block half a door.

You can't do that in the editor, for instance. So before you start thinking about how you're going to get pixel movement in your game, you have to think about how you're going to actually make your game.

but then you still need to decide how the collision will be added... and that will probably depend on which ever script ur gonna use... because the way ur gonna set-it up needs to be supported by that script...

do you have a link to that script?

I've moved this thread to RGSSx Script Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

since you're not really requesting an actual script, but just asking about behaviour of certain types of scripts.

But yes, they'll differ. Post links to those you've found interesting and are considering using.

His script seems to be able to set custom collisions for events, so you might just wanna utilize that to make collisions on your parallaxed maps...

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
