Harvest Moon-esque Inventory

Hi guys!

I've seen some similar threads before but they all weren't very recent or MZ related, so I thought I'd give it a try here.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get an inventory like this?

I'm not looking for a tutorial but rather inspiration... (or if you know exactly how to it, then please, don't hold back!! hihi) I tried it my way and my way is sadly a very complicated and frustrating way that just doesn't work. Or at least would take ages to work. There's some plugins floating around that seem to do what I'm looking for but then again... not.

I'm going for...
... an extremely limited inventory (max. 15 slots)​
... very minimal information on screen (only item related, not rm's usual stats 'n stuff)​
... limited holding/item capacity (that works just fine, I got a plugin for that)​
... a picture based look (no default rm scene)​
... visible holding of the item when equipped and not in inventory (a problem for future me)​
Every plugin I've seen so far is just too much. Like I said, I tried my way through eventing the inventory, got the menu and cursor set up and all, but I just can't get the items to show up in the inventory when put away. Haven't touched RM in some time and really just wanted to check out if anyone's got anything for me before I go mad hahaha

You're going to have to do some heavy modifications to either the item scene or select item scene, or event a menu from scratch. Since you already started on eventing the inventory, why not post what you've done for that?

You're going to have to do some heavy modifications to either the item scene or select item scene, or event a menu from scratch. Since you already started on eventing the inventory, why not post what you've done for that?
So far I have only the basic setup so I can play around with placements and stuff.
It's really just a picture based menu with no use at the moment, it opens up when pressing "I" and closes again.

In my delusions I thought maybe it would be possible to event it in such a way, that each time the player puts away an item they're holding, it checks slot 1-15 to see if it's empty and if there's already an item of the same kind in the inventory (e.g. milk to the already expisting stack of 3 milk). If yes, the item is placed there, drawing the respective icon/picture in this place. But a) I'm not sure if that would even work and b) it would probably take ages if it did :confused:

I don't know about eventing but you could do this with a few lines of Javascript. It would just be checking if the selected item is in the current array of the bag items. If yes, increment the item quantity at that position of the array, else push the item to the end of the array as a new index. I would have to look at the code for how the item scene is currently populated.

So in my SRPG, when kill monsters, they leave an aura that grants +20% Crit, +20% PDMG MDMG. Aura lasts only for 1 turn, it forces players when and where to last hit.
