First off, I'm not sure how to word this correctly, but please bear with me.

I've been searching online for a while and no clear answers. So, I want to make an npc system like in Harvest Moon; is there a way you can make an npc walk to another room and have his event consistent?

Like, ever played Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral town, and the characters would roam around and go to places at specific times? I'm kinda new to Ace, overall the whole RPG Maker programs, so is there an easy or simple way to go about this?

Some background: I'm trying to make a dating sim game like Harvest Moon, just minus the farming.

I hope I asked in the right place. any info is appreciated! :D

You'd set the NPC Move Routes to whatever and set Trigger to Parallel Process; you can make them go on for as long as you want, circle back, etc and set a repeat if you want them to go that way forever; you can set switches to change where they go (assuming you are going to have things like morning, day and night in the game). All of it can be done with some simple Eventing.

Be careful doing this too much as many events going on at one time can case in-game lag.

haven't see a script for moving NPCs, but I've evented it. There are scripts for relationships, though.

RMMV
It's totally do-able, but definitely not for newbies. It requires a lot of eventing, and you need some scripts that will memorize where the event left off (if you re-enter a map, all events are back at their starting position).

From one dating sim developer to the another: drop it and move on, think of something else. It's NOT worth the time and effort.

What do you think you're doing continuing this endeavor?

Celianna said no!
