Has anyone used Spriter Pro to make a whole SV character sheet like in MV? And if so was it effective as far as time it took to put it together? I'm struggling right now to see if It might be better if I do the whole sheet by hand in Photoshop.

On top of that if someone has done this, if they wouldn't mind giving me a few pointers to try I would be very very appreciative.

Spriter pro is not the easiest of tools to use, although it's definitely more user friendly than dragonbones.
Spriter pro is not for making spritesheets though. It's a modular animation software, meaning you don't build spritesheets, but animation sheets. The advantage is total control over your animations, less total filesize and smooth animations at 60 fps. Also less drawing, because spriter pro allows you to use one animation sheet with various graphics. The disadvantage of that is, you need a plugin to run these animations and without it they won't work.

Making the animations themselves... It depends. I'm pretty slow, so making an animation took me about a week. But I'm not a good spriter, so I was quite happy with it. I will not give any good tips though, since I'm a beginner with this software :D I can't say whether it is better to use this or photoshop though, because it depends on what suits your game and on your skills. I can't give any tips on that either, since I'm still a beginner with the tool and my computer is currently out of order.

Well what I'm trying to accomplish is basically taking enemy sprite walking characters and using them as a SV characters. Instead of a static image. So I was trying spriter pro with it, I saw one person do it for there VXA game. But im trying to figure out aside from that just trying to figure out a time frame.

For that you'll need to separate hero's sprite to individual limbs. For each direction you'll need separate limbs and separate animation. There's a video on youtube showing making a sprite animation with one of the rtp monsters btw.

Spriter pro is really awesome on making 2d sprites and more friendlier than dragonbone. Though, dragonbone is easy enough to understand (and its free!). Just add inkscape and your on the go!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
