Hello everyone!
Hope I'm writing this in the appropriate place, please move it if not the case!

I have been looking for a specific game for a long time, and can't find it anywhere! The problem is... I don't remember much about it... Maybe someone here can direct me to the right path!

I played this a really long time ago, I was really young then (11/12?) and it basically taught me almost everything about what could be done by eventing, so it has a special place in my heart and would love to find the game again, also possibly find it's dev(s) so I could personally thank them for everything I have achieved in my life :). I'm a gamedev today partially because of how much this game inspired me to not give up (after seeing the amazing things that could be done with RPG Maker)!

The game was made in RPG Maker 2003.

It followed a blue haired boy (I believe he had a tail and that this was connected to an endgame plot twist)

I remember the main char's hometown got destroyed early on, and that there was some mystical entity called Concerto that was later on revealed to be a villain of some sort.

You needed to use Tent's on specific places in dungeons to recover HP/MP and... Don't remember much more :/

I remember some specific maps, there was sort of a castle town that was kind of the "hub" you would regularly come back to, there was an airship dungeon, ...

Does anyone know what the name of this game could be?

Huh. I've played a *lot* of rm2k3 games, but this one doesn't ring a bell. I've found a couple that have overlapping elements, but I don't think any of them are the one you're looking for.

If memory serves there's a topic around here somewhere specifically for searching for old games, maybe that might be able to help you?

I'm really sorry @Ms Littlefish I had totally forgotten about that rule :/ I will make sure to remember it. Again, really sorry!

Are you certain it was an RPG Maker game? This sounds a LOT like one of the Breath of Fire games and I'm having trouble remembering which one.

I'm 100% certain it was RPG Maker 2003. I know it because I actually opened it on the engine and explored events and stuff. It was how I learned to use the engine, so I'm not wrong about it.

Maybe it was a remake of a breath of fire game on rpg maker, not sure as I have only played breath of fire 4. This may be it, I will look at all breath of fire games to see if it strikes a bell :)

EDIT:
Ok, I finally found it!

@kirbwarrior It was not fire breath, but your suggestion inspired me to search for it again, thanks :) !
I basically went to rpgmaker net games and opened one by one until I found it

It's called Phantasia 3, (you can find it here)
It's this one, I'm certain, looking at the title screen brought me childhood memories immediately :)

When I get home I will be downloading it to check out if it still holds up ;)

And I see there are sequels to this one, may check out those too if this one holds up

All of the male sprites in New Dawn for the are built off of the third sprite I ever made on top of the first sprite base I made nearly a year ago, and now I'm making the female sprite base, and just by virtue of the amount of elapsed time and the number of sprites I've made since then, I think I'm going to have to revise all of my male sprites at some point.
I am going to be known on this forum for three things: RMXP, no combat, and bakeries.

In other news, I've just discovered that I misread the Jam deadline. It's the 21st, not the 24th! I guess I'd better hurry it up XD
What the heck is happening in A Christmas Story that requires Perla to swing a Tree?

(Hehe, i'm working on the battle sprites and i did this so i wanted to share)
I have some more lovely nightmare fuel for ya'll:

JO_AvatarofCerebellum_Upscale.gif

This is the second phase of the Manor Experiment boss enemy that I shared before. In this phase, it is possessed by Cerebellum, one of the four eldritch horror villains of the game.
And with that all the in game menu busts are replaced fo the party
The full artwork versions of all of them can be found on my tumblr, linked as my bio website
Just search Menu Status in the search bar

(since they're pretty big I wasn't going to post the artwork versions here)
