Are you having trouble opening the character generator? Or are you having issues finding the characters you generated with the character generator? If it's the latter, then you need to add the files you generated to your project. The character generator does not necessarily export directly into your project's folder.

Go and try to export a test character and find out where it defaults to save it, there you should find your generated characters.

The file needs to be in your project's folder. If you do not know what that is, click on the game tab at the top of RPG Maker and click "open folder". You need to drag your created file inside that folder (in img/faces for faces, and img/characters for characters).

you need to copy those files into the project img folders.
battler would go in project: img: sv_actors
walk would go in project: img: characters
faces would go in project: img: faces

none of those shots you posted are even the project folder.
and by project we mean the game you are working on and not the program files game engine folder

edit: also dont double/triple post. if you were the last 1 to post on a thread just edit the previous comment instead of making a whole new comment

@rpgmakerguy2323 I'm not sure, but I think you can still import resources with the trial version. You can't just create a folder called "character generator" in your project's folder. You need to put the images in the "character" folder. Also, don't put any spaces in any folder and filename since that isn't allowed per HTML5 networking rules (else it won't be able to read the file).

I think you have several misconceptions about what the character generator is and how to use it.
So I try to give you an overview.

The character generator is an external tool that can be called from the editor itself. Because it is an external tool, the results are NOT AUTOMATICALLY where they need to go, you need to follow several steps before the pictures become usable.

1) open the character generator and create the character you want to use in any way to fit.
2) export (not save) it to a position of your choice (more below)
3) copy the file you created from where you exported it to into the correct folders (multiple folders for different files) where your project can use it. Use the resource manager if you're unsure of this.
4) go to the database and assign the pictures where needed.

The step where most people have problems is the second one, because they do not understand the differences of saving and exporting.
"Save Settings" is for the character generator only. you can save the current setting for later if you want to make modifications to the same character, like a wounded picture or age or different expressions.
Settings CANNOT be used in the game/editor itself.

The export uses the four buttons labelled after what they export - face, walking sprite, dead sprite or battler. If you click on one of these buttons, you'll get another window with two buttons import and export.
The import here is only for the first three, it is useless for the battler window. And that import is because a sheet can have up to eight characters.

You import an existing sheet if you have one (on first character you won't have an existing sheet so this is not used.
Then you select which of the eight positions the face or sprite should go - it will move around when you click on a different/empty position.
And only after you select the position you click on export to save the resulting picture sheet, at a position you need to remember to move it from there to where your project needs it.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
