I'll be taking a few screenshots and posting them here but anyways my problem is that I cannot get a cutscene working properly.

It will act out all parts except the last one, where it will show the cutscene image and freeze up.

Did I do something wrong or place something in the wrong area?

Or did MV bug up?

Also could it be the fact that twice I had it rely on having someone in the party?

The photos shall be here in the below spoiler

This spoiler below this sentence contains the text portraying the problem(s)

Spoiler

The first image activates the switch, the second image is the cutscene that will not work, the final image is what actually happens...the monk/old man doesn't move.

So did /I/ break it or did /MV/ break it?

Some possible things.

Have you tried changing both Autoruns to Parallel processes to see if that affects anything?

Also, make sure your tilesets for the steps are set to passable with a o and not an x. If they are not, then he wouldn't be able to move unless you check off the THROUGH option on the event..

There is nothing that stops the autorun events from processing. I suggest adding a second page reliant on Self Switch A to run and at the end of them, enabling that self switch. Assuming, of course, that event is complete and no longer necessary.

I have, in the past, attempted to address common autorun event errors people (including me, still) make:

I will try adding a second page and seeing if that works...But I've done the other cutscenes this way and they didn't break so I am a little confused.

Parallel processes? Would that still work? o_O never used them before.

And no I never did check the tilesets.

I'll do that

This can end up being closed.

I figured out that my switches were causing a loop and I deleted the entire 2 maps and started over. The cutscenes now work and I guess this could be closed.

I'm going to mess around with Parallel eventing as well as autorun.

So...I guess this can be closed?

Most likely your problem is something else, OUTSIDE that event:

Switch #1 is the default switch for common events when set to autorun or parallel.

If you ever changed a common event (especially an empty one) to autorun - just to see what happens - and forgot to switch it back, then that autorun will become active (and freeze your game) as soon as you control switch #1 to ON.

Go to your common events and check them. Most probably one of them (unnamed and empty) is set to autorun and triggered by switch #1

Events will not cross over other events unless one of them is set to through.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
