Blizzard's card game is in closed Beta. A simplified version of MTG, it's becoming increasingly popular and people are trying to get their hands on a beta key. If you have yet to get your hands on a beta key however, I'm giving away a Hearthstone Beta key!  Simply reply to one of my Hearthstone videos and tell me what class you'd want to play and why.

If you already play, hit me up and we can D-D-D-D-Duel!! How you liking this game so far? What's your favorite class? What kinda builds do you have? What classes are just ridiculous? (mage argh)

I don't really like card games, but I'm enjoying Hearthstone so far... but man, do I suck at it.

NP I suck a lot too. We should duel sometime though so we can both practice!

Actually you can play entirely for free without spending a dollar.  Just do their quests in play/arena mode.  Enter the Arena for 150, get at least up to 7 wins and you made back 150 worth and then some.  My best friend does that cause for a living he perfoms gigs at small places.

It's so hard to get good when everyone is running Legendaries in their Deck when you're first starting out...and you're just looking for a casual game to do your Quest...and you can't even do that because every time a game concludes the client derps on you and forces you to restart.

Happens to me in Arena all the time.

I've played enough free-to-play by now to smell that honeypot a mile away. It might be fair right now, but it's still in beta. Blizzard needs revenue off of this.

I experienced a ton of disconnects too. Granted, it's still in beta, but I remember a certain other game that suffered from bad servers in beta and still suffers from bad servers one and a half years later.

About the actual game though: It does seem kind of good, like a watered down Magic the Gathering, which is a good thing. But the grindiness of the game really put me off it; having to grind for better cards so I can make a strategically sound deck? I know that's what you do in real TCG's too – buy packs until you get lucky, or trade – but at least then you have a physical deck to show for it. I'm not sure why it doesn't feel the same here, but it just doesn't.

You guys show follow TotalBiscuit's frequent Hearthstone videos on youtube. Honestly he takes the game to a whole new level than most people would ever, with his extremely smart critical-thinking abilities and predictions of what opponents could play, as well as thinking of every possible play he can make himself. He's extremely skilled (but sometimes makes silly mistakes though lol)

He also does a side-thing where he does Arenas with a deck FULL of Legendaries....i'm talking 30 Legendaries in a single deck. Which is a very bad deck to run in many instances since it takes a while to get the flow going. But oh man is it fun to watch/play.

I enjoy MTG a lot more than Hearthstone so far, I got a beta key a while back and have been playing quite a lot. I think It's a bit too simple (Not particularly strategy wise, but more game wise and it lacks a bit in the fun factor for me.) I do however love the system in which you build your decks (even though you have to farm for your cards, and the people that pays rl money will have the upper hand which is something that I really dont like). I also dont find the system that funny either, as in you can attack the player freely (if taunt is not in play) and I think it lacks a bit in the epic factor when it comes to the skills available in the cards. I havn't really got that epic feeling yet, that I get from MTG when you lock down the opponent or cancel something with an epic card combo . I just feel that the game is a bit too shallow on that front, but when it comes to making deck builds it's certainly solid. Then again, the game is still in Beta so a lot can happen here.

I also believe that Blizzard is taking the changes in the wrong direction, if something is overpowered they just nerf it (Priest was OP so they nerfed it, then Mage etc, etc). There will always be decks that will be considered op, and that people will play like crazy.. but there will always be several decks that's just as valid too and that will have a different 'fun' value. Nerfing, and keep nerfing will not solve anything, it will just end up ruining the game. If they want to balance a game like this they will have to make every card a 1/1 and cost 1 mana..

I do find the game enjoyable though, but MTG will always be number 1 for me when it comes to these kinds of card games.

However I'm really pumped for Heroes of the storm! :D

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
