Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I recently picked up VX Ace a couple weeks ago as part of doing hobbies for psychotherapy (I'm a good ol' schizophrenic) and been having a blast working on a game. It just feels good to create something, ya know?

I'm a writer and dabble with music too, but I always wanted to get into pixel art and programming. I also always wanted to do interactive storytelling, and since writing and music has been dull for me recently I figured why not give it a try? Knew of RPG Maker but never used it, but I've been really enjoying it. Liked it so much I even subscribed to Members+.

So yeah, here I am. My dream is to tell a trippy story of having a mental illness, but currently I'm working on a pretty basic game for friends to play to get used to the engine, experiment with other users' scripts to learn RGSS3, etc., over the next few months (or however long it takes me). My first focus is to just make a good and solid, though basic, game and go from there.

Looking forward to being part of the community. Best wishes.

Welcome to the forums, friend. That's a good plan you have, you have no idea how many people here (myself included) started rpgmaker trying to make a 'dream game' that of course ultimately failed due to inexperience, starting small is the best way to go. Good luck and have fun, I look forward to seeing what you produce in the future.

Thanks. Yeah, I want to teach myself good game design and if I can't do that there's no point in making a dream game yet. I worked on tabletop rpg campaigns and stuff with friends and always liked the balancing and design aspects of encounters and stuff. I think that's really important to making a solid rpg.

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
