Hey everyone, my name is Tom o/

My friend got my RPG Maker VX Ace, because we were originally going to start making sweet ass video games together, sadly that fell through. I have limited experience when it comes to actual game design, however I am a decent writer (To what I think, lol. I enjoy designing scripts that mess with the player's head, not the character's head). I got into video game development, years ago when I was in Highschool primarily because I realized that video games were getting ****ty. About a year ago, I started learning how to program (Which I still suck severely at) because I realized that video games now adays, don't give two flying fricks about the quality of the game, just how much they sell and how much money they can make.

The primarily reason I'm happy my friend got me RPGMVX is the fact its easy for idiots like me to be able to design. As It is, before I start getting to work on doing anything, I'd like to fully study the engine, any assistance or links you can tell me about to help me in my study would be awesome

Thank you, I actually have been having a great time here I've gotten alot of help and made quite a few friends, as well as am about to finish a demo for the game I've been working on.

Writing to mess with the player instead of characters can be really interesting if done well. Everyone in the forums equates scripts with code instead of writing, so it threw me for a second. It sounds like you're going to have a lot of fun messing around with the program.

PS: Nice avatar; I ended up using that exact equipment getup on my character for max dmg potential!

Thanks for the welcome, yeah I've always been inspired by the human mind and how to trick it. None the less, I'm digging this community so far ^_^

And yeah, the valkarie armor is good, I'm just disappointed in how the game turned out

I was pretty happy with the game except for its length; even for games with multiple endings I rarely ever play a RPG more than once. But yeah, game was way too short; I'm fan enough to where I could take the SP universe for a long time without it getting old.

The ending angered me, the everything angered me. They promised us a game with multiple choices, endings, and blah. None the less, yeah, I'll be posting my demo soon, its not the "Best" RPG, but its not bad.
