hi everyone. 
: i'm lily and i just recently joined! i've been interested in making a game for a while but i want my first game to be a RPG styled visual novel (not really a game but just as an interactive novel; i hope people can understand me 
). i have all my characters and their stories ready, i just need to make some art and find a way to actually get started... it's a large cast so i know it's gonna take me a while.
anyway, i was inspired by the games like mad father, misao, mermaid swamp, etc. i really want to convey my story ideas this way but i don't think i'm creative enough to think of puzzles...at least not at this stage.
my main passion is writing but i really want to be a voice actor too. i've already auditioned for a couple of fandubs but alas, nothing came out of it and i was not chosen (i'm not that good, i'll admit..).
i hope we can all work together and create amazing games together. ^^ i'm really sorry about this long intro.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
