RPG Maker Forums

Uh, hello! Just another mage, nothing more, nothing less. I have no idea what to talk about, so I suppose I'll just talk about myself, as conceited as that feels >.>.


I've been playing video games my whole life, and my favorite genre is definitely RPGs. (You could probably infer that though...). I have a ton of favorite series, from Mother, Tales of, Etrian Odyssey, the list goes on.


Ever since I was little, I loved writing stories. (Shame I don't have my old hard drive from way back when, just to look at my pitiful ten year old stories.) As of the last few years, I've discovered that it was indeed possible to make my own games...so put two and two together, and you get some person joining an RPG Maker forum.


Although I haven't bought RPG Maker MV yet (tried the demo a few months ago, got addicted to it), I plan to soon and eventually get my hands dirty on some actual development. I have a knack for knowing what constitutes as good gameplay, and the two people I've told my stories to said they were good. But I won't know for certain until I actually start!


I have a big interest in music composition, and hope to eventually be skilled enough to make my own OSTs. Fun fact: I know more Japanese music composers than western singers and artists. (Motoi Sakuraba, Arata Iiyoshi, and Yuzo Koshiro are among my favorites.)


As for sprite art...I'm learning. Not saying I'm good, but I'm learning. This guy (from a project I'm kind of working on) is probably my proudest achievement regarding art:





Internet wise, I've never actually joined a forum type community before. (Well, once.) So I'm naturally a bit more quiet than others I suppose. I mean, writing about myself is already awkward!


Anyways, I don't know what else to talk about. Hope I didn't bore you! Guess I'm off to go look at people's projects. (^.^)/
