Hello from a veteran!

Hi everyone,

I'm a 30+ guy living in the south of Europe. I've been working full time as a game developer for 4 years now and using RM for... quite a long time. My favorite is XP, the best software I've ever used - tried Ace too and liked it so at some point I'll probably use this one too (not before I finish my projects on XP though).

I also like listening to music which is a way to drive my inspiration (Genesis, U2, Duran Duran etc.), going out in restaurants (I love all types of food ^^) and hanging out with friends. I am also a huge fan of horror movies (Jaws is my fav movie of all time)

I already recognized some well-known names here.

I think it's awesome to have a wide-range of restaurant tastes. I am imagining that Europe probably has quite a few selections in that department.

Oh yes, we get italian, french, american, mexican, chinese, indian, vietnamiese, thai etc.

Whoo hoo! Somebody else who is a 30+ guy. I usually hide my age for the shame of being a 30+ guy still stuck on video games, but what can I say? It keeps my wife happy since I don't have to bug her about watching a movie, and she can do her own thing (which usually amounts to watching re-runs of Gray's Anatomy and Bones). And my 2 year old, she's content sitting in front of the tv and watching Barney, so it all works out.

Not at all. When our kids grow up and have their own children, they'll look at us as being the most "awesomest" grandpas around. Okay, now I'm starting to sound like Barney from How I Met Your Mother.

Thanks. I usually work on the storyline, characters (although I outsource the artworks themselves), gameplay and mapping. And beta-testing xD

Haven't got kids yet but that would be great lol

My ex is a game dev and I think her kid is kinda enthusiastic about her job lol

I practically grew up on Genesis, Boston, and Elton John. Land of Confusion was probably my favorite Genesis song, Bostons' Amanda, and Elton Johns' Rocket Man.

Thanks! Actually music is my number one source of inspiration and even for tedious jobs (debugging I am looking at you... <_< ) it is a powerful force that drives me to work.

My fav would be We Can't Dance and A Trick of the Tail. As for U2, Achtung Baby of course, but also The Unforgettable Fire. And Duran Duran, the last one is very nice.

Food is the best. Its probably a tie between my tech obsession and restaurants that eat up the most of my disposable cash.
