Well made my first post here and forgot to introduce myself.

I'm a 36 year old father, gamer, web developer, photographer from Texas (You know that place where it's 100+ outside)

I used rpg maker back in the day when rpg maker xp was out but life got crazy and I haven't really touched or invested again until here recently when I purchased RPG Maker MV on steam few months ago and only just started my first project (which is being discussed here on the forum actually).

I wanted to be a video game developer from a very young age but I ended up going to school for other stuff and now run my own business for the past 16 years doing Web Development, Photography and some minor networking freelance stuff.

It's never too late to start your dreams or work with your true passions so here I am.

Welcome! It's to see that you're chasing your dreams again!

Great to meet someone from Texas! (I have met a couple and some have become a good friend of mine).

PS: Lol I edited the post cause I realized after re-reading it that it was kind of misleading lol. I meant to say that it's great to meet another person from Texas because I have some friends from Texas, but I'm not from Texas haha.

Lol edited my post because I realized it was a badly written lol. I'm not from Texas, I just wanted to say that I have some friends that come from Texas and that it's nice to meet another Texan lol.

Hi there! I'm in Fresno, so I relate with this 100+ degree thing. Thank goodness for November. Also, I'm in my mid-thirties, returning to game development; so you make me feel like I'm not alone in this endeavor. Nice to meet you!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
