RPG Maker Forums

Hello!

I'm Curtis, I'm a 3D modeler, I also enjoy creating 2D (or 3D) logos and texturing. (I'm self taught)
I use Gimp and Blender, two powerful free softwares.

I tried RPG Maker several years ago (like maybe 10 years ago, is it possible?) but I thought it was too complicated.

I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan. My favorite are the 8, I enjoyed the 4 till the 10 included.

Apparently, from what I've heard, RPG Maker is "friendly user", I'm thinking about creating a small RPG. Just to try making a video game for the first time.

I was wondering if we could have bigger characters? (I know it works with tiles)
If we could also change everything (Textures, Sounds, ...)
The screen size can be set to 1920*1080?

I'm more confortable creating buildings/scenes/monsters. But I'm improving my human models.

I'll show you 2 things, one old fan art of FF8 and another thing I'm busy with, an American football player that I will sale thanks to Shapeways (basically you add your 3D object, and anybody can buy it if he finds it cool...)

The famous funguars.

This footballer isn't finish yet. I'll also have to remove the Nike logos and change the Eagle logo (actually it's the official on the shoulders).

Thanks, see you soon!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
