Hey everyone!

So, I'm Mark, and fairly new to the whole game making community.

To be honest, back when RPGMXP first came out, I gave it a try, but never bought the full version.

Sometimes, the thought of how much I would know by now, and how many games I could have finished pops into my head.

So, ten years later, I decided to give it another go.

Today is the third day I've been messing with RPGMMV and I'm really having fun.

And since every few minutes google sends me to this site, in order to answer all the questions I've been having making my project, I figured I should just register.

I'm planning on posting a link to my project, so I can get feedback/criticism, but I should probably do that in the appropriate forum.

So, thanks for having me in your community.

I hope I can learn a lot, and in time give back to the community any way I can.

Welcome to the community, Mark! I myself got late into RM so I can sympathise. I've wondered to myself, Why didn't I get into this sooner?

But you're here now, so looking forward to seeing you around :)

Thanks Alkorri.

Yeah, as I said, I played around with XP ten years ago, so I have a vague memory of events, and switches, and maps and tiles.

But I also forgot a lot of what little I knew back then.

Thankfully this forum has lots of answers, so it's been easy anytime I have a doubt.

Hello Mark, welcome to the forum :) I'm sure you will get the hang of Rpg Maker fairly quickly, and if you get stuck then I'm sure there are a lot of people here who will be happy to help you out :)

I hope you have fun whilst your here.

Matthew.

Thanks everyone!.

Yeah, I've already learned a lot from this community.

That's why I decided to join.

I just hope that in time I will be able to contribute as well.

For now though, I'm really focused on advancing my project.

And without this community, that would be a much harder task, so again, thanks.

Welcome!

Hopefully playing in XP is like riding a bike and you click with it right away. Good luck!

Thanks guys.

amaSenpai, I'm actually messing around with MV this time.

XP was my first try, 10 years ago.

But yeah, I'm really having a lot of fun messing around with it.

Although right now I'm mostly focused on story development, so I'm only using the included tilesets and scripts.

After I get my story advanced I'll start hunting for better graphics, better battle system, etc.

But I'm loving every minute of it.

Writing the story is so much different then writing with pen and paper, everything comes alive.

And I love making my maps, even if just with the basic tilesets.

Also like the challenge of making events do what you want them to.

But there is so much to learn still!

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
