Salutations! I'm DrinkableTrees. I've been meddling with RPG Maker MV for the past few weeks and have been having a blast working on a passion project with my girlfriend. Of course, I'm currently just using the placeholder name of "Hello World!" while I undergo development. I've been interesting in game development for nearly 6 years and I'd battled the passions of Culinary Skill and Game Design. I had decided to pursue Culinary in my college and kept game development as a passionate hobby.

I'm very pleased with how friendly the RPG Maker community has been and wish to do all I can to help contribute to others the way they have to me. Since I've started, I have acquired special tricks and tips that may come useful to the odd developer or team. I'll do my best! I'm super excited to talk games and help eachother out. Cheers, friends!

And they live happily ever after
Hi DrinkableTrees, welcome to the forums! :kaohi:
Glad you enjoyed the software, keep on rolling!
May I know why you chose culinary over game dev? Is it because you love culinary more? If it were me, I'd have chosen game dev, haha:kaojoy:

Oh, look! We have a chef here! :kaohi:

Anyway, Welcome to the community! Feel free to ask anything!
I see you are just started developing games for past few weeks ago. I'd be really glad to help since I'm idle until I got my team's sponsorship funds. (which is next month) :kaojoy:

Well, not too idle. Maybe some small projects. :kaoblush:

Hey There! :kaojoy:
I have a strong background in both fields. I do also plan later in life to be a family oriented man :) After evaluating my options, I figured undergoing my culinary route is safer if that makes sense? I feel like it'll be a lot less likely and improbable I'll ever find myself in a dead end or a pit. There'll always be work and never an idle moment. Plus I love the "on your heels" environment of an active kitchen! I am still passionate about my gaming background. Heck, I'd been gaming since I've been able to hold a controller in my hands. So I figured I'd be able to keep game development as a hobby/passion thing for now, sometimes pouring funds specifically for it into hiring and promoting :)

Just like that? That'd be lovely. I have my girlfriend helping beta test my current project from the perspective of someone who knows the ending and 2 other friends from the perspective of someone not knowing anything about the later twists. The current project's plot I'm working with holds elements that become jaw dropping and makes you say "Ooooohh!" when recalling the beginning parts of the game, which are heavily tied with confusion. If you're down to be another perspective I'd love to give you a copy of what I currently have so far. I'll also be crediting beta testers, plugin developers, etc in a credits plugin available in the title screen and end game :).

(Be warned, there's going to be some complex personalization features involved. Such as fleshed out and very personality/backstory driven party mates. Dialogue, Action and Choice options available dependent on present party members (in battle party, not overall) aswell as a ladder based "bond" or friendship options with possibilities of romancing later into the project. Aswell as more than 30 endings (Depending on a) the "good" or "evil" ending. Which isn't as simple as "good or bad karma" and b) What party members you have with you through the finale and their bonds! Feel free to PM me if you're interested in more details! ^-^

@DrinkableTrees Ah I get it. We should be realistic rite? I can see why the route you took is safes, now I'm reevaluating my perspective as well haha. Well, no matter what job you gunna take up, always indulge in game dev, cus, from what I can tell, it's one of the things you are most passionate about. Keep on rocking, carry on rolling!:kaohi:

@DrinkableTrees 30 endings?!
Dude, that's crazy! Is that the story concept or it's already implemented? Because from my own experience, creating 2 ending route which starts from beginning is quite... 2x more time-consuming and it makes me had an headache.

The gameplay will only change per person depending on how they compose their team and devote their friendship bonds too. They will experience different (but not too hard to code) experiences. The ending resolution will revolve around how you set up your finale.

Effectively I'm currently pondering on the ideas of "Make the big final choice now or never" or "build karma along the way" but I'm unsure about implementing a karma mechanic. I'd need more reviews on the idea. At the finale you'll determine between the "good" and "bad" ultimate ending that will play out with different objectives in mind but the very end will play out different depending on what party members are with you for the finale sequence and what your bonds to them are like. So you have lots of time before making such a choice throughout the game.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
