Hi everyone! I know, I've been around for a couple of months now, but I felt a bit rude not introducing myself, so, um, hi!

I grabbed VX Ace on June 4th in the Humble Bundle (and feel a bit guilty about how little I paid for it, haha), then saw the announcement about IGMC 2014 and thought, why the heck not. I rushed headlong into making my game (links in my sig if you haven't checked it out yet), and it was a lot of work for a bit less than a month. I've made a couple of text-based games in Twine and Inform before, but this is the first time I've made a full-on graphical game, and it definitely won't be the last. The reception and feedback here has been really positive. Right now I'm taking my time to discover more of the awesome features of RM and the amazing scripts people have made and working on a post-comp version of Oh! Ko! that will hopefully be a lot bigger, better and prettier.

This is an awesome, friendly and supportive community, and I plan on sticking around for a long time. You've already made me feel more than welcome, so thank you for that. :D

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
