I've been meaning to get into this for a very long time, but never really quite knew where to begin. I once upon a time tried RPG Maker for the PS1 and almost died of confusion, but that was years ago. I recently bought RPG Maker MV, and I've been farting around in learning everything. I have about ten minutes of a game done with a week of messing around so, I am actually kind of proud of myself. My specialty is writing and character creation though. I went to school for film/television and focused in scriptwriting. For years I've had ideas pop up in my head for games, and so I am REALLY excited to try it all out! I wish I was a better artist though. I have all the ideas in my head, but have the hardest time getting them out the way I see it.

the PS1 RPG Maker was my first taste of RPG Maker as well. I actually managed to make a game with it too (needed a BUNCH of memory cards >_<).


Keep on plugging away at your game! The experience is invaluable and you'll be able to leverage that knowledge if you want to join a team or start a team of your own to realize your vision more accurately.
