hi there! oobo's the name and rpgmaker is the game.
specifically, rpgmaker mv.
i've recently grown a really intense interest in making a game and decided that it would be smart to just finally make an account on the forums to take advantage of the great resources and minds here! it feels like a weight being lifted off of my chest now because now i just don't have to sheepishly wander in discord servers for help and advice. it's nice to meet everyone here! you'll probably see me wandering the tutorial and help sections a lot

hi there! thank you very much for the warm welcome! i have the plot figured out, but i feel like the hardest thing is finding things that will help me put this all into a game. it's a very ambitious fantasy themed rpg game with cute themes. the ideas i have deviate a lot from the normal rpgmaker mv content but i'm learning to not set my expectations so high... i've admittedly never worked with rpgmaker mv before but i'm determined that i'll learn along the way. i've actually been thinking about posting for some help in the threads but there are just sooo many questions i have and i have no idea where my questions would be best received! but i digress haha

Best thing to do is read the rules sticky at the top of each forum to make sure it's the spot. And don't worry too much. If you post in the wrong forum, a moderator will move it and explain why it belongs elsewhere. All they ask is that you attempt to find the right forum and don't repeatedly just post in the same spot and expect them to relocate it for you every time.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
