I have no idea whether this is the appropriate thread. Or if I am allowed to ask this.... But:

I have been thinking of distributing some of the pixel art tileset I made. The thing is, I want RPG Maker users to be able to get them for free if they want, but also to be able to donate if they want (if donated above a certain small amount, you can get commercial license type of thing). However, if they would be used outside of RPG Maker, e.g. Unity, I want people to pay full price for a license.
Now, I have 2 questions regarding this:
1. Am I allowed to put the tileset on the MV Resources thread on the forum noting explicitly they have to pay for them if they want to use it for commercial use (using the donate thingy that's found on my own site), and
2. how would I find someone who can look at my work to figure out pricing? I am pretty new at this and I think I've created at least somewhat (quality-wise) but after all, I just can't figure out what's a reasonable price.

Please send halp :)

Well first things first; the forum isn't here to help you sell your assets. That would be competing against our own resource packs in the store.

You can host your free to use assets here, you're more than welcome to. As long as it doesn't come with a donate button attached to it.

Nothing is preventing you from telling people they have to pay for a commercial license though, just put it in wording and you can discus via PM.

just another point because that is not clear from your phrasing:

The rules above are for cases where the resources are 100% yours.
If they're edits or manipulations of other resources like the RTP included with the makers, they always need to follow the original licence or be more restrictive. For example, RTP-edits can only be used for the makers, not for other engines and also can't be sold under any circumstances, only given away for free.

Thank you both!
Yes, they are 100% my own work :)

To be honest, if there was any way that I could sell as a official resource pack (of course I realize that will probably make my own revenue small(er)) that would be very nice! But I don't really have the confidence it is up to that quality yet, and probably not quite enough content as well to qualify for a pack. If there is someone you can maybe recommend me to speak with (As I know you sell lovely packs as well!) that would make me quite happy!

Anyway, thank you both for your replies and it's clear for me now what I am allowed to do now :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
