Help! Game_Interpreter line 1411 no method??

I'm sorry, I don't know what to do, everywhere I look its dead ends of errors not for this. I have only one script and it's a quest script from Modern Algebra, I'm running RMVXA i would GREATLY appreciate help for this. Please forgive my spelling and grammar, its 4am while i post this.

It means you have used a Script event command that is wrong.


The command is complete_objective, not complete_objectives. (no s)


Next time you need help with a script error, please include a link to the script you're using, so we don't have to go searching for it.

I fixed that, however it still crashes with the same error, this is the bit that errors me... what am i doing wrong?

It means that it's referencing something in call script that doesn't exist or missing parameters in Game_Interpreter.

It's possible you used the script call commands wrong or typo'd somewhere. you might want to link the scripts you are using so we can help you :)

You're wrong, it cannot be the same error - it might be a similiar error, but it cannot be the same, so we need a screenshot of the new error.
However, I also suggest that you go back and read the instruction of the script, because I think I know the second error:


As far as I know there is no script command "complete_quest" in the entire system, because the quests should autocomplete when all objectives are complete.


So you need to check the instructions on what you are suppoesed to do in the script...

thank you all so much for the help! it was both the  added "s" and the complete quest. :) Another question, if i can, I'm trying to make it so i can have the npcs switch off of the topic in the quest to something else. Example, the quest receiver after the quest finishes I wanted her to talk to the main character and give him a new quest. However when i start up fresh, it removes the first quest and only plays the second quest. I pray this makes sense.. I'm horrible at explaining.

that means you probably have some conditions or switches in the event wrong - and in all cases we need screenshots to see what you have done to tell you where the bug is.


In this case, complete screenshots of the event page, not the cutout like you've done in post #3, because the conditions are part of the event that got cut away on that screenshot.

 Sorry this is so darned big, I just wanted to make sure nothing gets overlooked.. I deleted the third event pages out of frustration, how would i  put the switches to allow them to change after these have been completed?

On each event, there can only be one page active. If several pages have their conditions fulfilled, then the page with the highest page number has priority.


You have shown three first pages but only two second pages for these events. What is the third second page?


Both second pages are conditioned to the same switch - after the battle in the approachin gplayer touch event, both of those second pages will become active, and they wil both switch back to the first page after the switch is turned OFF again in the last picture. If you want a different sequence, then you need to use more switches instead of conditioning everything on the same switch.

for the third second page, i deleted it as it was irrelevant and i wasn't using it. So after five page two on the last line would i put  control switchs: --- =on?



like this or how would i go about this? I'm sorry I'm really noob :/

Please keep your questions to one theme per thread. Your original question was about errors calling a script. Now you want to know some basic RM techniques, that have nothing at all to do with the script. Putting them together into the same topic is confusing, as what you are asking now has nothing to do with the title of the thread, and nothing to do with scripts.


I will move this to VX Ace Support now, only because you have posted so many screenshots. Next time you have a question though, once it's answered, please mark it as solved so the thread can be closed, and ask any new, unrelated questions in a new thread.


This also helps others who might have similar questions - if they were searching for help on making NPCs do different things based on conditions, this thread might come up, but they'd never think to look at it because the thread title has nothing to do with NPC behaviour or conditions.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
