Hey guys,

I am trying to create characters with passive aura effects but the skills(with state setting) can only affect the character who has that skill, how to apply this passive effect to the whole party? Please help. Thanks.

it depends on the effect, but the usual solution is to give every actor the state with the effect and make the condition something on the base actor

So I managed to give the buff to all party when actor is in the party, how do I turn on/off the switch based on if this actor is in the party for battle or not?

For example: I am using Visu plugins and I have 8 actors in the party but only 4 would be in the party for the battle. If this actor is not in the battle (but still shows in your party), I want to remove the state. Any idea how to do it?

troop event checking who is in the party, and running once per turn or per action to remove those states that no longer fit.

Thanks, Andar. I tried your method and it doesn't give any states to the party, did I miss anything here? Here is the code:

doesnt recover all remove all states as well?
in MV we needed to use a plugin for 'bypass recover all removal' and 'bypass death removal'
(dont forget about dieing removing your state. a per action check might be better then a per turn check for that reason)
you wouldnt want recover all in this event anyways because then you just get a full heal every turn.
enemy would need to wipe out your entire party in a single turn or else theres just 0 chance of losing.
and why do you have a battle processing line for a troop event? the battle has already started before the event.

Oh, thanks so much. Now it is fixed, this is why it is not showing the buff effects. I am using the recover commands due to the party will not be in full hp after the battle starts with the "increase max hp by x%" state. Now I just switched the commands to recover hp instead of recover all.

Also, when I use the per action check, after the battle starts there will be no actions neither from my party nor monsters, not sure why this is happening, but if I use battle/turn per check, then it will run smoothly. Any ideas on how to fix this?

having recover HP will still heal your party every turn. that makes this 1 state increase max HP and the event give a pseudo regen effect.

Hum.... you are right, I just tested it and it does give the hp regen. Any idea on how to make the hp full for the battle?

could probably use a conditional check with script. 'if battle turn <= 1: recover HP + x%'
sorry but i dont know the actual script call for that check but fairly certain it exists.

your going to want the x% to be about the same as the HP increase from the state.
(unless full heal after every fight is part of the games design)

edit: another possible work around is 2 different pages. 1 for turn 0 with the heal and 1 for every turn after that that just makes sure the state stays active.
(really surprised that i cant just find an actual aura effects thing in visustella's plugins. we dont have this problem on MV thanks to yanfly's plugins that are visu's predecessors)

Yeah, I found that a lot of YEP plugins for MV was not there for MZ

Anyways, full heal after every fight is part of the game process so it is ok for me for now.

Thanks so much for your help!!

That moment when you significantly rewrite about 80% of a course, reduce it from 12 hours to 8, drastically refocus the content, provide several overview briefings to staff on the changes, giving them several weeks to prepare, & they start asking questions 10 minutes before the classes start. I have a bad feeling.
