This should be rather easy to explain:
I'm trying to import these character sheets(the ones with a lot of different characters on one sheet)

But I keep getting what's in the screenshot I uploaded. I was going to ask on that thread ^ but I didn't want to highjack the thread :)
I changed names to have $ at the beginning, but this is what I'm getting anyway. Can someone help, please? :o

I've never imported sheets this large, what am I doing wrong?

Most likely you got the wrong filename.

Single sprite sheets need a filename beginning with $ to tell the engine that it is a single sprite sheet.

4x2 sprite sheets must NOT have the $ at the beginning of the filename, to tell the engine that the file contains 4x2 sprites (default)

That was exactly it. I thought all characters took $ before them, regardless of the size of sheets.
Thank you.

It's in the help file ;)   F1

$ means it's a single character, no $ means it's 8 characters (or large enough for 8 characters, even if some of them are blank).

! means it's an object that needs to line up exactly with the grid, no ! means it's a character that's going to be moving around.

Noted. I'll take some time later this evening to sit down and read through the entire help file.

Thank you greatly, everyone.

I wouldn't read the whole thing.  The section on resources will be useful to you - that's probably the most complete section of the whole file, and anything else just look up when you have trouble with something.
