I don't think it is a great idea to use someone else's sprites.

But the way you import character sprites, can be done manually, by placing the file into: your project folder/ graphics/ characters

Make sure the formatting fits the RM program you are using. If it is a single character, the file must have a $ sign in front of the file name.

I don't know anything about Corpse Party, but generally speaking, if you want to use a graphic as a tile, you need to put it in a 512 by 512 PNG file and place it in the Graphics>Tiles portion of your game folder. Then you need to include that file in a tileset you are using.

Okay, did this get edited? I coulda sworn you wanted it as a tile. even tho it seemed strange. My bad.

(oh it was in the topic title)

You're not talking about a ripped resource from a commercial game, are you?

i understand corspe party is a commental game but im making a fan game. im not saying their mine and i do understand it is wrong. But all ive wanted to do is make a fan game for a youtuber or more than one youtuber. i am not going to say their mine because that is just wrong. if you dont agree with what i believe in thats fine but please dont rub it in my face because of that.

fahyda, I think people just misunderstood your intent...

After all, you didn't state it was for a fan game in the main post.

So I think they were trying to be helpful and guiding with their posts as opposed to rubbing it in your face...

Anyways, I don't know how to rip the sprites out of other games, I myself am rather new to the RPG Maker series, but I do hope I cleared up any possible communication issues between yourself and others ^u^

I'd just hate to see unnecessary quarrels in such a good community such as this one. (\('^')/)

The technical part is easy, but I don't know how the sprites for this game are stored in the file (and you obviously can't upload it to show either...).

A standard sprite sheet for RPG Maker is made of 4 rows (looking down / looking left / looking right / looking up) each with 3 columns for the walking animation to be displayed.

Size is not an issue, as long as you respect the ratio 4 rows/3 colums.

You can find several tutorials about making a sprite sheet so you can adapt your resource with an image editing program to get it displayed correctly.

because in the case of XP, two of the columns (for standing middle) were identical and could be handled by different animation sequence.
So instead of 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4, Ace goes 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2

I kinda came up with that myself, Andar, but there's one thing I had in mind.

What if a creature's movement looked more fluid with 4 separate sprites as opposed to one sprite repeating.

Say, like, a slime hopping o3o

We do not provide support for people using ripped resources. If you want to make a fan game, find sprites based on the original, not ripped from it. Closing.

I don't get it - you know it's wrong, and you say you know it's wrong, but you're still asking us to help you ... go figure.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
