I was wondering if there was anyway for me to create and freely edit a file that the game will read from and perform specific actions depending on what it reads from the file.

My main goal the games variables and switches and read them upon the games initial load up.

Example:

On a new game Switch1 is set to OFF

Later Switch1 has been set to ON 

Variable3 is set to 5

the game then stores that information into the file and the game continues as normal

the player decides to start a new game

the game reads the stored file information

Instead of Switch1 being OFF it remains as ON and Variable3 stays at 5 while everything the file doesn't specify retains the default​s

I have no idea if this is possible, and if it is how would I do this?

I'd prefer the file to be .ini as its easier for me to use

And sorry if this is a bad explanation I'm really tired, sick and this was hard to explain in the first place.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
